August Klintberg leads a virtual discussion studying the phenomenon of artist-run restaurants—the subject of his Ph.D. thesis and a remaining area of ongoing research in his practice. Klintberg’s selected case studies use food and hospitality as leverage points to highlight commodity exchange, to enact activism, to question or claim forms of identity, and to spark conviviality.
